Hi I’m James Lynch Millennials, please never forget this. Even though what I’m about to state
applies to all, I want to reference a thought that I read the other day for you. It will add more depth
I believe to why I titled this PoeArtistry Journal (Podcast): “Millennials please never forget this”
3*The other day I read a question on social media: “Aren’t you glad you were born before this age or the age of the internet?” You know; the technology age. The internet has been around a long time; even way back in the 1950s; at least some form of it. I’m talking about more than being Morse code.
4*The telephones were certainly appreciated as marvels of invention.
However, the extravagant technological age that we have today started being developed more than less the military. Perceptive Readers we are now in the age of social media; and a plethora of programs, streaming services, and space flight! There is an abundance of knowledge on enumerable topics at your finger tips. When you are able to focus, there is enough research you could do just in one day that would have taken people back in the 1800 and 1900s years gathering together!
5*Thank goodness for computers and digital storage! The millennials have been born during a time they now have all these advancements at reasonable costs; and sometimes free. The appreciation for such capacity and speeds should be kept in mind. No, we should never forget.
The Ultra high-speeds for 5G and 6G consideration, what will persons like yourself think up next?
6*I’ve always stated: “Make sure the implementation of these technologies are proven safe.”
The safeguards; the shielding; etc. When we talk about speeds and how fast knowledge/data is uploaded and downloaded it can start to be viewed as common or 2nd nature in which we give no thoughts to and forget it.
7*Therefore, you dear millennials; this brings us to the topic of patience.
Everything wasn’t meant to go at 100 millionth of a second speeds.

This is a proposed $5.54–$6.24 billion settlement to provide payments to merchants who accepted Visa and Mastercard at any time from January 1, 2004.
1) What is a Class Action Settlement?
A class action is a procedural device that permits one or more plaintiffs to file and prosecute a lawsuit on behalf of a larger group, or “class”. – Cornell Law School – https://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/class_action
Just One Example: You own a business, as the innocent plaintiff, that has been hurt by another company’s business practices that violated/broke the law, now the defendant, in their dealings/transactions with you. Your fellow merchants, whether in the same location or country-wide experienced the same treatment.
This is what your experience/complaint results in: “ In a class action, people or businesses sue not only for themselves, but also on behalf of other people or businesses with similar legal claims and interests. Together all of these people or businesses with similar claims and interests form a class, and are class members.”
2) Did Visa and Mastercard break any laws?
This lawsuit is principally about the interchange fees attributable to merchants that accepted Visa or Mastercard credit or debit cards between January 1, 2004 and January 25, 2019, and Visa’s and Mastercard’s rules for merchants that have accepted those cards.

Violated the law because they set interchange fees.
*They imposed and enforced rules that limited merchants from steering their customers to other payment methods. (E.g no-surcharge rules, no-discounting rules, honor-all-cards rules)
*Conspired together about some of the business practices challenged
- They continued in those activities despite the fact that Visa changed its corporate structure and became a publicly owned corporation after this case was filed.
- Conduct caused the merchants to pay excessive interchange fees
“The Defendants say they have done nothing wrong. They claim their business practices are legal, justified, the result of independent competition and have benefitted merchants and consumers.”

It represented substance and covering in abundance
Today, we are discussing an interesting tale.
When you think about all the wonderful gifts a person(s) may desire to give others like family, friends, and even strangers at times; there would still be the need for patience. An appreciation for such a word is learned by a children’s story and a warning against greed.
This story has been told two or three different ways many times.
You have most likely heard it by now.
It’s called “The Goose that Laid the Golden Eggs” This bed time story told to children reference a couple of scenarios when being told by the mother or father with all the embellishments!
A) A man and a woman who happened to be poor.
B) One man who is also of little means and yet receives this gift or purchase of a Goose.
Either way the story is told, it sure takes on a life all its own when the parents tell it with sound effects. You did not know mom and dad could even make character voices like that— those were the good ole days.
Where were we?
The man/family in poverty received a goose that laid overnight one golden egg each day. Overtime, the man/family paid off debts and became rich.
However, they started reasoning “We do not want to wait overnight just for one egg.” Yes, twenty-four hours became too long of a wait for them. Therefore, they reasoned, if they cut the goose open, in effect killing the goose, there would be plenty of eggs that would come out.
I imagined they were thinking an unlimited supply/source. At least when I was a child and heard the story.
When the husband and wife did the terrible deed, they found absolutely nothing, and now they had lost their means of riches; as well the ability to enjoy life in abundance.
What’s the moral of the story?
In a nutshell, it is not to be greedy trying to get everything; because then you will end up with nothing.
“Greed causes people to lose their humanity.” – The Sage
Perceptive Readers let me be clear, the story is not looking down on the rich or wealth.
Christ Followers are Rich in Spirit also Wealth
Perceptive readers you are able to enjoy recreations and vacations. There is nothing wrong with savoring the fruits of your labor.
The moral of the story points out how all must always keep appreciation for what we have in our lives; including our means of making a wage and living (Our handmill).
We strive to be ethically sound in all business dealings.
Yes, whatever our quality of life entails; let us always show an appreciation and patience when needed to maintain our gratitude.
