For 9 months your womb nurtured and protected me.
When I was fully formed you birthed me. The process was not pleasurable but you still smiled when you saw me.
The way you bandaged up my scrapes and bruises was complete.
Your gentle kiss on the sores made the pain go away.
Father felt this way about you:
Strength and splendor are her clothing, and she laughs at a future day. Her mouth she has opened in wisdom, and the law of loving-kindness is upon her tongue. She is watching over the goings-on of her household, and the bread of laziness she does not eat. (Proverbs 31:25-27)
Well mother, so do I. You understood the thoughts of your children even when we did not know what they were.
So today I reminisce about your strength, your wisdom, and most of all your love.
Mother though I am now aged and you are no longer here, is there any chance you will reappear?
It is my hope at the designated time the Grand Creator will raise you up again. Some ponder and say it is impossible.
But mother you taught me the meaning of hope, for with “God all things are possible”
Thank you Mother, your love is not forgotten.
